  2. Read the live results — they update as you type.
  3. Check the formula, worked example, and assumptions on this page before you decide.

Formula

Remaining 80C room = ₹1,50,000 − min(used, ₹1,50,000).

Worked example

EPF ₹80,000 + ELSS ₹40,000 + PPF ₹20,000 = ₹1.4 lakh used; ₹10,000 room left, and only if you opt for the old regime.

Reading the result

Treat the output as a planning figure. Compare it with your sanction letter, payslip, or GST invoice rather than treating it as a filing or a loan offer.

Frequently asked questions

Old regime: 80C (EPF, PPF, ELSS, life premium, principal repayment, tuition), 80D, HRA, home-loan interest, and extra NPS 80CCD(1B). New regime is narrower — mainly standard deduction for salary.

Assumptions and limits

  • The ₹1.5 lakh ceiling is the combined 80C/80CCC/80CCD(1) cap in the FY config.
  • New regime generally does not allow 80C. This screen only tracks the cap.

Results are educational estimates, not tax, legal, investment, or medical advice, and not a loan offer. Verify filings and payments with the official authority or a qualified professional.
